Historic Chimney Rebuild

We completed a historic chimney rebuild on an 1837 home after discovering that the existing chimney was near collapse due to failed mortar and loss of structural bonding resulting from aging construction methods that no longer meet modern building standards. The chimney was carefully dismantled down to sound masonry and rebuilt using modern brick selected to closely match the home’s original appearance. A new flue liner was installed, and the original bluestone cap was reinstalled to preserve the historic character of the home while ensuring the chimney meets modern safety and structural standards.
